We believe that you shouldn't have to sacrifice athletics and other extracurricular activities because you've chosen to educate your child at home.
Brevard HEAT (Home Educators Activities Teams) began in 2003 with the mission to provide an opportunity for homeschool students to participate in organized activities and competitive athletics and to use that competition to teach Christian based principles that will prepare young people for the journey ahead. These opportunities are available for 6th - 12th grade home educated students throughout Brevard County and all of Florida's Space Coast. Our mascot is the Firehawks. We currently offer a variety of sports during the fall, winter and spring through the Florida High School Athletic Association. Brevard Heat students enjoy the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports while enjoying building lasting friendships with other home educated students.
One of the highlights of the year is the Brevard HEAT annual high school graduation which is open to all Brevard County home educated graduating students.
We are extremely grateful for the families, athletes, volunteers and coaches that have helped make HEAT what it is today. The Lord continues to bless this organization and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
